New Waitrose Branches

    Waitrose has announced it is to open its first branch in Cardiff this summer. Nigel Keen, Waitrose Director of Development, added: “This is an excellent opportunity to bring the Waitrose offer to Cardiff for the first time. It will enable us to deliver a wider choice of quality foods and services, which we are confident will help add to the vibrancy of the area and retain trade within the local business community."

    Waitrose is on track to open its new food shop in Crewkerne this autumn. Waitrose is promising an enhanced shopping experience for the town with a wide range of fresh foods including dedicated meat, fish, delicatessen and cheese service counters. The new 19,300sq ft store will be located on the site of the South Street ‘Pay and Display’ car park.

    Waitrose is on track to open its first shop in Warwickshire this summer as part of the Talisman Square retail development in Kenilworth.

    Waitrose is promising an enhanced shopping experience for the town with a wide range of fresh foods including dedicated meat, fish, delicatessen and cheese service counters, together with its award winning wine collection.

    Waitrose is set to open its first shop in Newcastle at Eldon Square. The new 10,000sq ft supermarket, which is due to open in summer 2008, is part of a £170 million project to redevelop the shopping centre. It will be located next to the city's John Lewis department store and will create up to 100 jobs for the area.

    Waitrose will be taking over the Co-operative food store in Manor Road, in July. Waitrose director of development Nigel Keen said the move was in response to numerous requests from people in Brackley for a branch in the town. "We are delighted to have the opportunity to bring our quality food offer and high standards of customer service to Brackley."

Waitrose Education Food Pod

WaitroseEducation Food Pod will be on the road again this year between March and November 2008. The series of practical workshops for children between five and 11 years old aim to help children develop their curiosity about food and where it comes from. Food Pod will visit the following branches Mill Hill, Otley, St Neots, Chichester, Thame and Stevenage. For more information, check your local branch.
