Quick Check/Quick Pay

Quick Check is our scan as you shop service. Using a handheld scanner, you scan each item as you take it from the shelves and pack as you go. When you have finished shopping, all that is left to do is pay at the Quick Check till, without having to unpack and re-pack your shopping. If paying using a debit, credit or account card you can save even more time by using Quick Pay. Quick Check is available in a number of branches. We will also supply special reusable bags to our partnership cardholders and Waitrose and John Lewis account card cardholders.

Glass Loan

Take advantage of the Waitrose free glass loan service and borrow wine glasses, goblets, and Champagne flutes next time you entertain. To arrange your loan simply go the Customer Order Point in-branch. This service is free although there is a charge for breakages.

Fish Kettle Loan

When your recipe calls for use of a fish kettle, why not borrow one from your local Waitrose? This service is free - simply ask at the Customer Order Point in-branch to arrange your loan.

Cheese

Our cheese counter is packed witha variety of European and British cheeses, including rarer British varieties.

Waitrose is committed to providing an outstanding assortment of cheese and exceptional service. Nearly every branch has a cheese specialist, selected for his or her passion and enthusiasm for cheese. They receive training from cheese experts and gain a British Cheese Guild Qualification. Waitrose is currently training about 50 cheese specialists a year.

Delicatessen

Follow your nose to the delicatessen counter for German and Italian salamis, meat pâtés, hand-carved hams and speciality salads.

Olive Bar

Our self-selection olive bar features a wide variety of marinated olives and antipasti. Choose from one of two pot sizes and fill with a mix of your favourites.

Meat

On the meat counter, there are prime cuts of free range pork, Aberdeen Angus beef and Farmhouse lamb, as well as specialities such as rack of lamb.

Aberdeen Angus beef has been available from the Waitrose meat counter for more than 10 years and was chosen because it is a breed that is native to the UK. It is known for the marbling that appears in the meat. This marbling enables the meat to retain a higher level of succulent flavour and tenderness.

Bakery

Choose from a delicious selection of cakes, tarts, biscuits and other temptations. Farmhouse, granary, wholemeal and speciality breads are just some of the breads available.

Salad Bar
