Every month this branch will donate £1000 between three local good causes that you choose.

How does it work?
At the checkout you'll receive a token, which you then place in the box of the good cause you'd most like to support. The more tokens a cause gets, the bigger the donation they receive. You can also nominate good causes to be considered for the scheme in the future. Just pick up a leaflet in store for more information.

Sarah Smith and Zöe Meredith of Coombe have secured a new contract to supply their ice lollies to Waitrose.

Yummy Lollies! Ltd was set up twelve months ago while Sarah and Zöe were on maternity leave. The business has grown at such a pace that the pair have now both given up their part-time jobs to concentrate on growing it further.

The fruity ice lollies are lovingly handmade at Applesham Farm, near Lancing.

At Waitrose we strive to source the highest quality local and regional produce when we open a new store.

Irresistibily fresh

At Waitrose, we offer two varieties of bread - Classic French bread, including baguettes, boules and small loaves, baked fresh in branch to provide you with warm, deliciously crisp bread throughout the day. We also sell English 'artisan' bread, made in Salisbury and delivered fresh each day to our branches, where the baking process is finished in our own ovens, in order to guarantee the perfect loaf every time.

Visit the Patisserie counter to discover our wonderful croissant and pain au chocolate. Made in France with authentic AOC Charentes butter, then baked in branch to ensure optimal freshness. (Butter from the Poitou-Charentes is classified under an Appellation d'Origine Controlee (AOC), a label of controlled origin which dates back to 1979.)

Our delicious range of Danish pastries are made every day by craft bakers in Wiltshire and Oxford. Perfect for a mid morning snack or teatime treat, try our classic lemon and sultana Danish or the delightfully different blueberry variety.

Our cakes include everything from a Victoria sponge sandwich made with Cornish butter to double chocolate cup cakes and mini flapjack bites. And for a truly decadent indulgence try the Rocky Road and Millionaire shortbread squares.
