There’s no need to live on rabbit-size portions to help you stay in shape. The LOVE life diet plan isn’t about feeling deprived, but starting something new. Rather than an impossible-to-follow diet, it offers a fresh take on food that’s colourful, nourishing and packed with vibrant, zingy flavours.
- The LOVE life plan is based around 8 weeks of calorie-controlled meals and snack ideas.
- A simple principle; Eat a bit less every day and move a bit more.
- Eat around 500 fewer calories than you normally would.
How the plan works...
Breakfast + lunch + dinner + snack = 1,500kcals. Combine our diet plan recipes with some of the meal ideas below.
|1. Get off to the right start with a healthy breakfast. We've included quick calorie controlled breakfasts for hectic mornings and a leisurely option for when you have more time:
ASSEMBLE: 30g of LOVE life toasted rice & wheat flakes + 125ml skimmed milk + 200ml peach & raspberry smoothie = 281kcals
ASSEMBLE: 125g essential Waitrose fat-free yoghurt mixed with 25g LOVE life cashew nuts & drizzle of essential Waitrose squeezy honey = 209kcals.
BUY: LOVE life you count fruit & fibre cereal bar + kiwi, apple & pear smoothie = 209kcals.
2. Take a break and make lunch count. If you’re busy keep it simple with our Buy and Go options. If you have a bit longer, try our quick prep ideas.
MAKE: Chicken & salsa wrap. Fill a wholemeal wrap with slices of cooked chicken breast, essential Waitrose vine ripened tomato salsa, slices of red and yellow peppers = 304kcals.
MAKE: Smoked mackerel & grain salad. 1/2 pack of LOVE life spelt, quinoa, red & wild rice served with 1 flaked smoked mackerel fillet with crushed peppercorns. Top with watercress, rocket and spinach and mix through thinly sliced red onion and romano pepper. Warm in the microwave = 413kcals.
3. Have a healthy and nutritious supper. Make our speedy midweek meals or delicious weekend menu, or opt for these LOVE life ready meals when you need a nutritious, easy meal.
