Cheesecloth

Finely woven cotton material. Cheesecloth can be used instead of a jelly bag to strain fruit that has been cooked in water, before it is boiled with sugar and made into jelly. A bouquet garni (small bunch of herbs) is often tied in cheesecloth. Cheesecloth and muslin are interchangeable in cookery.
