Fan assisted oven

An electric oven that has a fan mechanism to ensure the temperature of the oven is even throughout, rather than the traditional type of oven where the top part of the oven is hotter than the bottom. This feature is particularly useful when batch baking as all the food can be cooked at the same time without having to swap the oven shelves around for even cooking.

Fan ovens often cook food quicker than a regular electric oven - check the manufacturer's handbook for specific instructions.
