Miso soup

Miso soup

Miso soup is a traditional Japanese food made from fermented soya beans, onions, spring onions and seaweed. Instant miso soup is sold in packs of 6 individual sachets at Waitrose.

Uses: Instant miso soup can be served as a hot drink or used as a basis for stock for vegetable casseroles and soups.

To store: Keep in a cool dark place for up to 2 years.

To use: To make 1 cup of miso soup, empty the contents of 1 sachet into a mug and pour boiling water over, stir until dissolved. To make a basic stock, dissolve 2 or more sachets of soup in boiling water and use as required.
