Potato farls

Also known as potato cakes or scones, potato farls are made from a flour and potato dough which is rolled flat and cut into slices, ready to cook. Potato farls are sold in packs of 4 in Waitrose.

Uses: Potato farls can be served instead of potatoes with a variety of savoury dishes and are particularly good served as part of a cooked breakfast. They can be fried or grilled.

To store: Keep in a cool, dry place and use by the best before date or freeze on the day of purchase and store in the freezer for up to 3 months.

To cook: Heat a little butter in a frying pan and fry the farls for 1-2 minutes on each side until heated through. Or cook under a preheated grill, turning once, for 1-2 minutes on each side or until heated through.
