Green smoothie with kale, cucumber, pineapple and apple

Mixing fruit with green veg levels out the earthiness. You can throw a few mint leaves in for extra freshness, too.

Ingredients

3 cavolo nero leaves, roughly chopped

200g cucumber, roughly chopped

300ml apple juice

1⁄4 pineapple (about 150g), peeled, 
cored and roughly chopped

1 kiwi, peeled and cut into chunks

2 handfuls ice cubes 


Method

1 Put all the ingredients into a powerful blender. Blend until very smooth, then pour into 4 glasses.
