Salmon ginger kick

Salmon tastes good all by itself, spice it up a bit with a delightful ginger twist for something unexpected.

Serves: 2

Ingredients

  • 2 Fresh salmon fillets, (the best you can find)
    1 red Chilli
    A chunk of Fresh ginger
    Dark Soya Sauce
    Clear Honey

    To serve:
    Steamed greens
    Lime wedges

Method

  1. Place your salmon fillets on a baking tray and preheat the oven. Pierce the fillet many, many times with a sharp fork. Until the entire surface is covered in deep pricks.
  2. Cover the fillets in a generous amount of soya sauce. Then cut your chilli into small sections and squeaze through a garlic press onto your salmon fillets, use as little or as much as you like. Then cut up the ginger into small section and squeaze through the same garlic press onto your salmon fillets.
  3. Finally- drizzle honey over the marinated fillets and place under a grill oven for 10-15 minutes. Perfect! Serve on a bed of wilted greens and a side of lime wedges.
