Seriously Fruity Paradise Tart

A rich tart filled with dried fruits and nuts.

What makes it the ultimate summer Seriously From Waitrose dessert?

A year-round tart which can be made from Store cupboard ingredients. Keeps for several days in or out of a 'fridge therefore useful for picnics, camping etc.


  • 6oz Plain Flour
    8 oz Butter
    4oz Caster Sugar
    1 large egg
    2 Tabsp Semolina
    2 " Ground Almonds
    2 " Chopped Walnuts
    2 " Chopped Glace Cherries
    6oz Sultanas


  1. Line an 8" tart tin with shortcrust pastry made with 6oz plain flour and 4oz butter. Beat the egg. Melt rest of butter and stir in rest of ingredients, adding the beaten egg. Stir to mix welland pour into pastry case. Bake for about 30 mins @ 375deg F until slightly brown on top. Serve at room temperature with a blob Double Thick Cream.
