  • short crust pastry
    2 oz chopped almonds
    1 oz butter
    1 oz sugar
    half egg
    half teaspoon lemon juice and grated lemon rind


  1. roll pastry thinly and line small baking tins (mincepie size) cream the butter and sugar beat in the egg add almonds lemon juice and rind half fill the tins with the mixture and cook for about thirty mins hot oven serve hot or cold with whipped double cream
