Shortcrust pastry pie crust
50g caster sugar
1 slice white bread - gratered
125ml maple syrup
1/4 tspn vanilla
60g chopped toasted pecans
Bake the pastry case blind. mix the other ingredients together except the pecans, pour into the pastry case and bake for 30mins at Reg 5 /375/190. Sprinkle the pecans on top and put back in the oven for a further 10 mins.
