it is very rich and nutty and goes well with vanilla ice cream or creme fraiche you can even serve it with a few fresh raspberries or blckberries as a contrast to the sweetness of the tart


  • 8oz plain flour
    4oz unsalted butter
    2oz icing sugar
    1 egg
    water to mix
    make the above ingredients into a dough and roll out and fill a flan dish
    mix 4oz ground almonds
    4ozs soft brown sugar
    2 eggs
    4ozs pecans
    2 tablespoons runny honey
    and put into pastry case bake at 180c for about 40 minutes
