Seriously Nutty Walnut Tart with White Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

  • Ingredients: (Pastry and Tart)
    250g Plain Flour
    1 tsp Salt
    125 g Butter
    300 g ground walnuts
    150 g castor sugar
    2 tblsp Honey
    2 tblsp aniseed

    Ingredients: (Butter Cream Frosting)
    175g white chocolate, chopped into small pieces
    75g unsalted butter
    115g icing sugar
    90ml double cream


  1. Make the pastry dough using the flour, salt, butter and a cup of water. Mix the ground walnuts, sugar, honey and aniseed well for the filling. In a muffin tray, place out the thinly rolled out dough (cut into big circles and small circles with a cutter)Place big circle, mixture then the small circle. Bake.Melt the white chocolate with the cream over a pot of simmering water. cool,blend the sugar and butter until it is fluffy.Mix all. Pour the mixture in a piping bag and ice the walnut tart.
