'This is a wonderfully Christmassy sharing drink – perfect after a long walk in the country. Or, of course, you could decant it into a Thermos flask and take it with you. The Waitrose Signature Spice lends warming notes of freshly baked fruitcake, and clove-studded oranges make a great garnish – simply push the cloves into the skin of an orange slice before adding to your glass, or add the whole orange to the bowl if you’re making up a party punch.’
Serves: 4
1 litre Waitrose Cloudy Pressed Cox Apple Juice
1 Waitrose Signature Spice teabag
35ml Sipsmith Sloe Gin
Clove-studded slice of orange
Heat 1 litre Waitrose Cloudy Pressed Cox Apple Juice in a saucepan with 1 Waitrose Signature Spice teabag for 10-15 minutes.
Pour into four heatproof glasses or mugs and top up each with 35ml Sipsmith Sloe Gin. Stir and garnish with a clove-studded slice of orange.
