Steak with horseradish cream

4 tbsp soured cream

1 tbsp essential Waitrose Creamed Horseradish Sauce

Juice of ½ lemon

2 salad onions, finely chopped, plus extra slices to garnish

Dash of Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce

2 Waitrose Aberdeen Angus Sirloin Steaks

1 tbsp olive oil


  1. Preheat the grill to high. Mix together the first 5 ingredients and seasoning. Put in a small serving dish, cover and chill.
  2. Brush both sides of the steaks with the oil and grill (4–6 minutes for rare, 8–10 minutes for medium, 10–12 minutes for well done). Leave to rest for a few minutes until the juices settle.
  3. Transfer to plates, top with sauce and garnish with reserved salad onion. Serve with chunky chips and a rocket, watercress and spinach salad.
