Party with Heston
To a throw a party to remember, Heston is your man. Mini fish pies, mini chilli con carne corn muffins, mini prawn cocktail mousse pots - great things really do come in small packages. Heston's pièce de résistance is his strawberry & lychee layered gateau, "A real showpiece frozen dessert with lots of lovely flavour and texture contrasts hidden beneath its beautiful red, flocked chocolate coating."
So get the party started and celebrate with a touch of Michelin star magic.
Heston shows you how to make a simple lime soured cream to serve with his Mini Chilli Con Carne Muffins, and a mustard mayonnaise to finish off his Mini Chicken, Leek & Ham Pies.
With everything else you have to prepare for the festive period, cheese can be a bit of an afterthought - but Christmas is the perfect time to create a spectacular cheeseboard. Here are some of our Christmas favourites
1. Vacherin Badoz: This once-a-year cheese is a real festive treat with its creamy texture and distinct brucewood and floral flavours.
2. Waitrose Chilli Cheddar: A deliciously crumbly cheddar with a serious chilli bite making it a perfect match with a touch of fig jam on a crisp cracker.
3. Bishop Blue Stilton: Christmas isn’t quite the same without a good sliver of Stilton. Enjoy this rich and spicy cheese with a bottle of Sauternes or go down the traditional route and pair with a nutty tawny port.
