Local beers

Whether you like to drink Old Bob, Fiddler's Elbow or Atom Splitter, Waitrose has a surprising number of beers in branch.

Waitrose local beers and bitters are sourced from 85 small-scale breweries, part of its commitment to Britain's small and local producers. You can find local beers in all 183 Waitrose branches, along with over 1,200 local and regional products nationwide.

Waitrose is well-known for its support for small producers and are working to stock an even wider variety of beers, including the evocatively named 'Rebellion Blonde' in Berkshire branches and 'Meantime Coffee Beer' in London and Kent branches.

Owen Morris from CAMRA (The Campaign for Real Ale) says, "As an independent consumer organisation we are continually campaigning for greater appreciation of traditional beers and ciders. Waitrose support of small breweries will help ensure that more locally produced British beer is available for people to enjoy, and that the industry continues to thrive."
