Win an Inntravel holiday for two to Piedmont, Italy
Spend a week exploring Piedmont – the elegant and seductive home of Slow Food
Lying at the foot of the Alps, Piedmont is an unspoiled region of great natural beauty, where lush, gently rolling hills invite leisurely exploration. It is also the home of the Slow Food movement, and while there can be no arguing with Italy’s gastronomic credentials as a whole, this is a particularly foodie-friendly corner of the country, where the convivial pleasures of eating are allowed full rein.
Inntravel are offering one lucky winner and their companion the chance to enjoy a week’s journey through this captivating region while enjoying their SlowMotion holiday, Flavours of Piedmont. Beginning with two full days in elegant and stylish Turin, take your time sampling the city’s wealth of museums, galleries and royal palaces, as well as lingering among its delightful coffee houses and restaurants.
A short train ride then brings you to Bra, where the Slow Food movement began, and where you are offered a guided visit of your hosts’ winery and a tasting during your two-night stay. Next day, opt for a chocolate tasting in charming Cherasco, or visit the Banca del Vino in Pollenzo, where more than 100,000 bottles of the best Italian wine are stored.
Your final two nights are spent at a magnificent villa with a pool, overlooking the delightful village of Monforte d’Alba on the edge of the beautiful Le Langhe region, with its wave-shaped, vineyard-carpeted hills. Dinner is included in a local restaurant, and, on your last day, take a stroll to the prestigious Marchesi di Barolo cellars to sample their renowned Barolo and Barbaresco wines.
The prize is Inntravel’s 7-night Flavours of Piedmont self-guided cultural journey for two people (sharing a room), including seven breakfasts, two dinners, optional wine tastings and a chocolate tasting, and transfers between hotels as stated on Inntravel’s website. The prize also includes return flights from the UK to Turin (up to the value of £200 per person).
The closing date of the competition is 30th April and the winner will be picked from all correct entries received before the closing date.
