    Apple, Mango and Papaya Museli

    You can make this recipe up to the end of step 1, three to four days ahead. Keep in an airtight container. We used organic milk as its creamier texture brings out all the muesli flavours.

    • Preparation time: 20 minutes, plus 15 minutes cooling time and overnight soaking
    • Cooking time: 2 minutes
    • Total time: 24 hours

    • 225g porridge oats
    • 50g Waitrose Hazelnut Kernels, roughly chopped
    • 25g Jordans Natural Country Bran
    • 50g light brown muscovado sugar
    • 2 tbsp desiccated coconut
    • 75g Waitrose Dried Sweetened Fruit Tropical Medley, chopped
    • 50g sultanas
    • 800ml cold organic milk
    • 2 Granny Smith apples


    1. Preheat the grill to high. Mix together the oats, hazelnuts, bran, sugar and coconut on a baking sheet, then spread out and toast under the grill for 1-2 minutes until a pale golden brown, stirring occasionally to toast evenly. Remove and allow to cool completely for about 15 minutes.
    2. Spoon the mixture into a large bowl and stir in the tropical fruit and sultanas. Pour the milk over the mixture, then cover and leave to soak overnight in the fridge.
    3. Just before serving, coarsely grate the apples into the muesli, then serve with extra milk or natural yogurt.
