    Bacon with Penne

    Serves: 4


    • 350g penne pasta
    • 2 tsp olive oil
    • 225g smoked dry cure bacon
    • 1 bunch salad onions
    • 140g chestnut mushrooms
    • Shavings of fresh parmesan


    1. Cook 350g Waitrose Penne Pasta, according to the instructions on the packet. Meanwhile heat 1tsp olive oil in a frying pan, add 1 x 225g pack Waitrose Smoked Dry Cure British Bacon, roughly chopped, and fry gently for 2 minutes.
    2. Slice a bunch of salad onions and 140g chestnut mushrooms. Add to the pan with the bacon and continue to fry for a further minute.
    3. Combine with the drained pasta and 1tsp olive oil. Season to taste then serve immediately, topped with shavings of fresh Parmesan.
