    Barbecued Bruschettas


    • 1 slightly stale coarse country-style loaf
    • Olive oil
    • 1 clove of garlic
    • Rosemary sprigs


    1. Cut slightly stale, coarse, country-style white bread into thick slices. Brush on both sides with olive oil and then grill over a lively heat, turning the bread to create criss-cross griddle marks if you like.
    2. Rub both sides of the bread with a cut clove of garlic, sprinkle with slightly dry rosemary sprigs and serve.
