Beef Stew for one

Beef Stew for One is an easy meal to make after work with a handful of ingredients.

It is a simple recipe to make with leftovers at home and can easily impress guests if doubled.

  • Total time: 5 minutes prep + 30 minutes cooking

Serves: 1


  • 1/4 onion chopped
    1 pepper (1/2 green and 1/2 red)
    2 small potatoes chopped
    1/2 cup peas
    1 celery rib chopped
    2 small or one large carrot chopped
    12-15 medium steak tips
    5 or more fresh basil leaves
    1/2 cup beef broth
    1/4 cup red wine
    tomato paste
    Oregano (Mexican)
    Olive Oil


  1. Heat oven to160C Heat oil in pan on stove top. Add pepper, onion, carrots and saute for 3 minutes or until the onion just begins to tenderize. Add celery and peas and a light coating of pepper, 2 pinches of thyme and oregano and stir. Prep the potatoes and add them, coating them with the spices. Add the flour coated meat, bullion cube (or broth), wine and 1 tbs of tomto paste. Stir well. Add a coating of pepper and salt to taste, sir again.
