    black forest loaf

    A delicious chocolatey cake with moist black cherries . Perfect alone with coffe, or as a desert with cream or custard. Try it-speaks for itself!

    • Total time: 40 mins

    Serves: 6

    Ingredients

    • 125g self raising flour
      125g muscovado sugar
      125g butter
      50g cocoa powder
      2 eggs
      1 standard tin waitrose pitted black cherries
      mix everything except the cherries-fold these in at the end
      bake at 180 degrees for 25 mins in a fan assisted oven-add 5/10 mins if not fan asstd.

    Method

    1. mix all ingredients except for the cherries. Fold cherries in gently at the end-try not to squash them.
