    Chilli & bean burrito

    Spice up your summer with Old El Paso dinner kits. These handy packs contain all you need to create authentic, fuss-free Mexican food in a flash, and are great fun to eat too.

    • Preparation time: 2 minutes to 5 minutes
    • Cooking time: 25 minutes to 30 minutes
    • Total time: 28 minutes to 35 minutes 35 minutes

    Serves: 3 - 4


    • 1 Old El Paso Burritos Kit
    • 1 essential Waitrose onion, chopped
    • 400g Tin of Waitrose borlotti beans
    • ½ essential Waitrose romaine lettuce


    1. Preheat oven to 180°C gas mark 4. Heat the burritos from a 500g pack of Old El Paso Buritos Kit according to the pack instructions.
    2. Fry the onion for 2-3 minutes, then add the beef and fry for a further 4-6 minutes, until browned. Add Borlotti Beans, and the Burrito Spice Mix.
    3. Simmer, uncovered over a medium heat for 20-25minutes, until the mixture has erduced and thickened, and the minced beef is cooked through with no pink meat. Fill the heated burritos with the meat mixture and the romaine. Top with the BUrrito Salsa and up to serve.
