    Christmas Tree Cookies

    Ready-made cookie dough makes this recipe incredibly quick and easy.

    Ingredients

    • 350g tub Saxby's Chocolate Chip or Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
    • 200g bar Waitrose White Belgian Chocolate
    • 17g tube mushroom cake decorations
    • Waitrose Gold or Silver Raffia Ribbon

    Method

    1. Bake the cookies as directed on the tub. Remove from the oven and, while still hot, carefully make a hole in each cookie using the thick end of a chopstick. Leave on the baking trays to cool and harden.
    2. Break the chocolate into a small heatproof bowl and place over a pan of simmering water until melted. Take each cookie in your hand and cover the hole with your thumb. Dip the cookie in the melted chocolate until a third is covered. Place on baking parchment and top with one of the mushroom decorations. Leave in a cool place for an hour to set.
    3. Thread a piece of ribbon through each cookie and hang on the tree.
