    Classic Gravy

    • Total time: 10 minutes 10 minutes

    Serves: 4

    Ingredients

    • 450ml hot chicken stock
    • 3 tbsp fat and the pan juices
    • Small glass of white wine
    • 1 tbsp plain flour

    Method

    1. Spoon off all but 3 tbsp fat and the pan juices from the roasting tin and discard.
    2. Sit the roasting tin over a medium heat and pour in a small glass of white wine and allow to bubble for a minute or so, scraping up any crusty bits from the tin. Stir in 1 tbsp plain flour until combined, then gradually add 450ml hot chicken stock. Season and simmer for 2-3 minutes before straining and serving.
