    Crispy Prosciutto Pasta Bake

An easy midweek pasta dish with a crunchy topping, which the whole family will enjoy. It tastes great and is good for them, too, as it's made with spelt penne (or use multigrain pasta) and a Waitrose Perfectly Balanced cheese sauce that contains less than 3 per cent fat.

    • Preparation time: 5 minutes
    • Cooking time: 25 minutes
    • Total time: 30 minutes 30 minutes

    Serves: 4

    • 300g Waitrose Wholesome Spelt Penne
    • 235g pack Waitrose Spinach For Cooking
    • 80g pack Waitrose Prosciutto Crudo
    • 350g tub Waitrose Perfectly Balanced Cheese Sauce
    • 4 tbsp grated fresh Parmigiano Reggiano

    1. Preheat the oven to 200°C, gas mark 6. Bring a large pan of water to the boil. Pour in the pasta and cook for 4 minutes before adding the spinach. Cook for a further minute, then drain thoroughly.
    2. Cut a third of the prosciutto into small pieces about 1cm square. Cut the remainder into larger pieces 4-5cm in size. Return the pasta and spinach to the pan and stir in the small pieces of prosciutto and the cheese sauce.
    3. Spoon into a deep baking dish about 20cm in diameter. Top with an even layer of the remaining prosciutto and Parmigiano Reggiano. Bake for 20 minutes or until the pasta is tender and the topping is golden and crunchy. Serve with a tomato and basil salad.
