    Egg Dumplings


    • 1 egg
    • 3 tablespoons of oil or lard
    • 75ml water
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 250g flour


    1. Mix the egg, oil (or lard), water and salt together, then stir in the flour to make a dough. Rest it for 10 minutes.
    2. Bring a large pan of salted water to the boil. Tear off pieces of the dough with a tablespoon and drop them into the water a few at a time. They are done when they rise to the top.
