    fresh tuna with sesame, ginger and coriander noodles

    main meal to impress but simple to prepare

    • Total time: 30 minutes

    Serves: 4


    • 4 100g tuna steaks
      2 tsp sesame oil
      2 tbsp soy sauce
      1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
      2cm piece of root ginger, peeled and grated
      25og fine egg noodles, cooked and clooled
      20g fresh coriander, chopped
      2 tbsp sesame seeds, lightly toasted


    1. Place tuna in shallow dish with the sesame oil, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar and ginger. Mix well and marinade for 10 mins.
    2. Grill or pan-fry the steaks for 3-4 mins each side for well-done, 2.5 mins each side for medium and 1.5 mins each side for rare.
    3. Mix together cooked noodles, coriander and sesame seeds. Serve the tuna on the noodles, drizzled with a little soy sauce and sesame oil if liked.
