Fruit Salad with Hot Dressing

You can use any fruit for this, but berries work particularly well and require minimal preparation. In the summer, try adding edible flower petals too. You can make the sauce in advance and leave it to stand with the vanilla pod in it, but make sure you reheat it before serving.
