    Green Beans with Pine Kernels

    Serves: 4

    Ingredients

    • 2 x 200g packs Waitrose trimmed green beans
    • Salt
    • Freshly ground black pepper
    • 2 tsp sunflower oil
    • 20g butter
    • 50g Waitrose Pine Kernels

    Method

    1. Boil a large pan of salted water and cook the beans for 5-6 minutes or until tender. Drain and refresh in cold running water. Set aside.
    2. Return the pan to a moderate heat. Add the oil and half the butter. Cook the pine kernels for 2 minutes until golden, stirring frequently. Season generously.
    3. Remove from heat, return the beans to the pan, add the rest of the butter and stir to mix. Cover and keep warm for up to 10 minutes until needed.
