    • 450g lean mince beef
    • ½ large onion finely chopped
    • 2 tbsp double cream or thick yogurt
    • 1 tbsp chopped chives
    • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
    • 1 small clove garlic, crushed
    • Salt and black pepper, to taste


    1. Mix the ingredients together well, kneading the mixture with your hands.
    2. Burgers need quite a lot of seasoning so add about 1/2 teaspoon of salt plus a few grinds of pepper.
    3. Shape the meat into patties, about 7-10 cm in diameter and about 2cm thick, and cook on a grill for about 3-5 minutes each side according to preference.
