    Irish Coffee with Amaretto

    Serves: 4


    • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
    • 400ml freshly made, hot, strong coffee
    • 200ml amaretto (almond liqueur)
    • 142ml carton whipping cream
    • 25g honey-roasted nuts, chopped
    • 2 tbsp maple syrup


    1. Dissolve the sugar in the coffee and add the amaretto. Pour into four heatproof glasses. Lightly whip the cream until just holding its shape, then spoon on to the coffee. Scatter with the nuts, drizzle with the syrup and serve.
