    Layered Leek and Potatoes with Sage

    Waitrose fresh sauces can be found in the chiller cabinet, next to the fresh pasta and the garlic bread. Simply toss the sauces with pasta or try one of these quick after-work recipes for a tasty meal

    Serves: 2-3 as a main course or 4-6 as a side dish

    Ingredients

    • 1 tub of A La Carte Fresh 95% Fat Free Cheese Sauce
    • Reduced-fat mozzarella
    • 1kg of red-skinned potatoes such as Desirée
    • 1 large sliced leek
    • Handful of shredded fresh sage
    • two thinly sliced garlic cloves

    Method

    1. Preheat the oven to 200°C, gas mark 6. Thinly slice 1kg of red-skinned potatoes such as Desirée.
    2. Layer them into an ovenproof dish with one large sliced leek, a handful of shredded fresh sage, two thinly sliced garlic cloves, some sliced reduced-fat mozzarella and a tub of A La Carte Fresh 95% Fat Free Cheese Sauce. Bake for 30-40 minutes until the top is crisp and golden and the potato is tender.
