    Mud Mess

An unbeatable dessert for a small party - a chocolate fondue served with pieces of fruit to dip into it. You'll need wooden kebab sticks for spearing the fruit.

    • 142ml carton Waitrose Single Cream
    • 100g bar Waitrose Organic Milk Chocolate, broken into small pieces
    • 100g bar Waitrose Organic Plain Chocolate, broken into small pieces
    • 2 large bananas, cut in chunks
    • 225g Waitrose Strawberries, hulled and washed
    • 250g pack Waitrose Fresh Pineapple Pieces, drained

    1. Pour the cream into a fondue pan or heavy-based saucepan and add the chocolate pieces. Set over the lowest possible heat and stir gently until melted, smooth and just warm rather than hot.
    2. Arrange the fruit on 1 large platter or 2 smaller platters with the wooden sticks.
    3. Pour the chocolate into a bowl and place on a heatproof mat in the middle of the table close to the fruit. Make sure each guest is within reach of both fruit and sauce. As the fruit is skewered and dipped in the sauce, keep plenty of moist wipes to hand.
