    Nutty Maple Brie Croutons

    • Vegetarian


    • 1 pack brie
    • 165g maple syrup
    • 16 croutons
    • 1 pack nut mix
    • 1 pack watercress salad


    1. Preheat the oven to 200°C, gas mark 6. Cut as much Brie as you like into 3cm cubes (rind removed) and arrange on a greaseproof paper-lined tray or plate. Fill a small bowl with half a bottle (165g) of maple syrup and set aside.
    2. On a baking tray, spread a mixture of breadcrumbs and chopped toasted hazelnuts (50g of each is perfect for 16 croutons).
    3. Dip each Brie cube in the syrup, roll it in the nut mix and leave on the tray; the remaining nuts keep the squares from sticking.
    4. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the nuts have toasted and the cheese has softened. Serve hot in a watercress salad or as a garnish for pumpkin or French onion soup.
