    Opera House sauce (for icecream)

This can use any of the summer berries you currently have at half price. Think the Opera House is Munich Opera House, where it is (or was) served at the interval

    • Total time: 5 minutes

    Serves: 6

    • Punnet of raspberries
      Punnet of strawberries (cut up)
      2 tablespons sugar
      Wineglass of kirsch

Or you could use any berries you fancy, and any liqueur you happen to have around

    1. Heat all the ingredients in a frying pan. As soon as the fruit is hot and looks syrupy, serve it with some really good quaity vanilla ice cream. It smells fabulous.
