    Pear Salad with Stilton and Pecans

    • Cooking time: 6 minutes
    • Total time: 16 minutes 20 minutes

    Serves: 4


    • 1 pack 4 Cooks' Ingredients Pears
    • 25g butter
    • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
    • 2 tbsp maple syrup
    • 100g bag Waitrose Continental Salad
    • 100g Waitrose Blue Stilton, crumbled
    • ½ x 100g pecan nuts, roughly chopped


    1. Peel the pears, cut into quarters then remove the core before cutting each quarter in half lengthways. Melt the butter in a large frying pan and add the vinegar and syrup.
    2. Add the pear to the frying pan and gently cook for 5-6 minutes, or until tender, and the sauce has reduced slightly. Divide the salad between four plates, top with the pears and drizzle with sauce from the pan. Scatter over the Stilton and pecan nuts, and serve immediately.
