    Roast asparagus with Parma Ham and Parmesan

    Serves: 4

    Ingredients

    • 2 bunches trimmed asparigus
    • freshly ground black pepper
    • drizzle of balsamic vinegar
    • slice of parma ham
    • grated parmesan

    Method

    1. Roasting asparagus really brings out its flavour and this dish makes for a quick and easy starter or light lunch. Preheat the oven to 200°C, gas mark 6. Toss 2 bunches trimmed asparagus spears in a roasting tray with some freshly ground black pepper. Roast for 10 minutes until tender. Remove from the oven and arrange on plates. Drizzle over some balsamic vinegar and top with sliced Parma ham and freshly grated Parmesan.
