    Sausage and Ale Casserole

    Ingredients

    • 1 tbsp oil
    • 8 Waitrose Aberdeen Angus Beef & Ale Sausages
    • 1 red onion
    • 2 tsp plain flour
    • 3 sliced Giganti mushrooms
    • 300ml pot Joubère Organic Beef Stock
    • 1 bouquet garni
    • Waitrose Fresh Red Cabbage and Bistro Parsley Mash

    Method

    1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a casserole dish and cook a pack of 8 Waitrose Aberdeen Angus Beef & Ale Sausages until browned. Remove the sausages and drain off most of the fat. Add a sliced red onion and cook for 10 minutes until soft.
    2. Stir in 2 tsp plain flour. Return the sausages to the pan with 3 sliced Giganti mushrooms and a 300ml pot Joubère Organic Beef Stock. Add a pack of bouquet garni then season. Simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.
    3. Transfer the sausages to a warmed dish and boil the sauce for a few minutes to reduce and thicken slightly. Pour over the sausages. Serve with Waitrose Fresh Red Cabbage and Bistro Parsley Mash.
