    Seriously Creamy Black Forest Cheesecake

Chocolate biscuit base with a creamy cheese centre topped with a delicious cherry sauce. Kirsch can be added but does of course make this scrumptious pud alcoholic. Perhaps not an appropriate ingredient for the 'Seriously' range.

What makes it the ultimate summer Seriously From Waitrose dessert?

Waitrose likes to tempt us with 'seriously' tantalising desserts and Black Forest is eternally popular. The perfect dish to follow 'surf & turf' perhaps.

    Ingredients

    • Chocolate digestives, butter, cream cheese, cottage cheese, gelatine, egg yolks, caster sugar, cherries in syrup

    Method

    1. Crush biscuits and stir into melted butter. Divide biscuit mix equally between individual pots; chill. Whisk dairy ingredients together and add gelatine as per instructions. Add to pots and chill again until firm. Cherries should be warmed through gently with caster sugar to taste until the syrup thickens. Allow to cool and then top up each cheesecake. Chill once more then serve Black Forest Cheesecake with a little double cream.
