Seriously Creamy Swedish cheese cake (ost kaka)

separating the curds from the whey and add ground almonds to create a wonderful old-fashioned cheese cake

What makes it the ultimate summer Seriously From Waitrose dessert?

There is not a traditional cheese cake in your range, while nice they are all American style ones with a biscuit base, so this will make a nice dessert to add to your wonderful range.

    Ingredients

    • 4 pints of whole milk
      300g ground almonds
      1tblsp of flour
      1 tblsp of rennet
      50g chopped almonds
      fruit coulis

    Method

    1. bring milk to simmer (about body temp) add flour and rennet and let the milk separate. use spoon to help, strain through a muslin cloth and discard the whey. mix the almonds put in a dish and bake in oven 180 cent for 40 minutes (i think) serve with fruit and cream. but for this i would serve in ramekin with the fruit on the bottom and the cheese cake on top this is really nice yum yum
