    Shredded brisket

    Aberdeen Angus Brisket is great roasted then finished on the barbie. Find it at the service counter.

    • Preparation time: 15 minutes
    • Cooking time: 130 minutes
    • Total time: 2 hours 25 minutes 60 minutes 60 minutes 25 minutes

    Serves: 4 - 5


    • 1kg Aberdeen Angus brisket
    • 2cm Finely grated ginger
    • 1 Crushed garlic clove
    • 2 tbsp Tewkesbury mustard
    • 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 2 tbsp Brown sugar


    1. Mix the ginger with the garlic clove, mustard, worcestershire suace and brown sugar.
    2. Remove the strings from 1kg brisket and coat in the paste. Place in a roasting tray, cover in foil and marinate in the fridge overnight.
    3. Preheat the oven to 150°C, gas mark 2. Cook, covered, for 2 hours. Uncover and transfer to a hot barbie. Cook, basting regularly for 10 minutes each side, then allow to rest before shredding. Serve in crusty rolls with a spoonful of ratatouille.
