    Simple Cranberry Sauce

    Vegetarian Can be prepared in advance Ready in 30 minutes or less

    • 250g pack Waitrose Fresh Cranberries
    • 1-2 strips orange zest
    • 75 g light brown muscovado sugar


    1. Place the cranberries in a small pan with 150ml cold water and gently bring to the boil. Reduce the heat, then simmer for 5 minutes, or until the berries start to burst.
    2. Add the orange zest and sugar and stir. Simmer for 7-10 minutes, or until the sauce is thick. Remove the zest and transfer the sauce to a small bowl. Serve warm or cold.

    You can prepare the cranberry sauce in advance and store, covered, in the fridge for up to a week, or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
