    Smoked Ham and Artichoke Pasta

This satisfying pasta dish looks superb and is simple to make. The Serrano ham is from the Ingredients range, while the artichokes are from the delicatessen range of antipasti, which you'll find in the chiller cabinet. The marinade from the artichokes contains parsley, garlic, red chilli and basil, adding plenty of flavour to the finished dish.

    Ingredients

    • 2 tbsp olive oil
    • 150g pack Waitrose Ingredients Serrano Ham Cubes
    • 180g pack Waitrose Marinated and Grilled Artichoke Hearts
    • 500g pack Waitrose Fresh Tagliatelle Bianche
    • 150g Waitrose Frozen Garden Peas
    • 50g Parmigiano-Reggiano shavings
    • Salt
    • Freshly ground black pepper

    Method

    1. Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the ham and fry for 5-6 minutes over a moderate heat, until crisp. Add the artichokes and their marinade and fry for 2-3 minutes.
    2. Meanwhile, in a large pan of boiling water add the tagliatelle and peas and stir well. Boil for 3 minutes, add a few tablespoons of the pasta cooking water into the pan with the ham. Thoroughly drain pasta and peas.
    3. Return the pasta and peas to the pan, add the ham mixture and half the shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano and toss well. Season, then tip into a warmed serving dish and sprinkle with the remaining Parmigiano-Reggiano. Serve with Waitrose Tenderleaf Gourmet Salad.
