    Smoked Mackerel Pate

    Serves: 4 - 6


    • Pepper
    • 2 fillets smoked peppered mackerel
    • 225g cream cheese
    • Juice of ½ lemon
    • Salt
    • Toast or French bread to serve


    1. Remove the skin from the mackerel fillets. Place in a food processor with the cream cheese and lemon juice. Process into a smooth pâté.
    2. Taste and season according to taste - you may feel, for example, that you want to add more lemon - then place in the refrigerator to firm up.
    3. Serve with toast or French bread.
