    Tyrokafteri Dip (Feta Dip)

    A feta dip with chilli, ricotta and lemon

    Serves: 6 as a mezze


    • 1 red chilli, deseeded and fi nely chopped
    • 200g feta cheese, crumbled
    • 100g ricotta cheese
    • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, plus extra to serve
    • 2 tsp lemon juice


    1. Place all the ingredients in a food processor or blender and pulse, stopping to scrape down the sides occasionally, until a light and creamy purée forms. Don’t worry if some grains of feta remain – the tyrokafteri should have a little texture. Spoon into a serving dish and drizzle with a little more extra virgin olive oil.
