    Vanilla-scented pears

    Serves: 6

    Ingredients

    4 Waitrose ripe large pears

    125ml Pip Organic cloudy apple juice

    2 tsp chopped root ginger

    2 star anise

    1 vanilla pod

    Natural yogurt

    Method

    1. Peel and core 4 Waitrose Perfectly Ripe large pears and cut each into 6 wedges. Place in a pan and add 125ml Pip Organic cloudy apple juice, 2 tsp chopped root ginger, 2 star anise and 1 vanilla pod, split in half. Cover and place over a low heat to simmer for 10 minutes.
    2. Remove from the heat, place into a serving bowl and cool to room temperature.Serve with a generous dollop of natural yogurt.
